This review is from: Maxpedition Fatboy Versipack (Sports) just a quick note, if you want this for everyday carry (edc) and you want some flex space for lunch, diapers, a book, uzi, ..... ok maybe not the uzi, then you will want the larger Jumbo versipack. This one has enough room for edc only. my wife carries my fatboy as her purse now. I carry the Jumbo. It's a bit smaller than I expected but it's incredibly sturdy and durable. I'm able to get my wallet, sunglasses, cell phone, a few snacks and a few other small items in it. No need to take it off; the beauty is you can access everything while still attached to your body. I've been looking for something like this for a long time and this is unmatched with anything else I've come across. I'm very happy with my purchase. Got mine in black by the way. Keys, wallet, gloves, iPod and Kindle (for the recumbent bike) all fit in it perfectly. I also use this for grab and go trips to the store or mall. The small size means I don't have to remove it when I sit in the car. I just rest it on my lap and work the seatbelt under and above it. It looks military like with the PALS webbing but it's not MIL-SPEC, however that's not to say it's a bad bag. I've been using this bag as my "everything" bag since 2005, when I saw them at FT. Benning. The size can't be beat. At nearly 3200 cubic inches (fully expanded) it's hard to beat. I use it daily for work, going on weekend trips, grocery shopping, playing air soft and it can serve as a bug out bag. I've used one in Iraq and it worked well for carrying some gear to different FOBs and it worked well on ground patrol missions. However you don't won't to load it down with say 50 pounds of gear or anything usually heavy because at that weight it seems to tear the inside up, and it can become very uncomfortable quickly at that weight. This bag is well organized, and very versatile. Keep in mind I'm reviewing the black version. Jairam (USA) - See all my reviews    I got this Bugout Bag in Coyote/brown color because that and the black one were the cheapest, and the coyote color is allowed when wearing the MCCUU. I bought this bag primarily for my upcoming deployment, and took it with me to some pre-deployment training. So far, it's held up, and held up well! I stuffed a bunch of stuff in there, including some heavy ceramic plates, M4 mags, and a bunch of other random stuff, and there was still room for my MREs and water bottles. I never felt like the bag was going to fall apart on me, and I was carrying a lot of stuff. The MOLLE straps on the bag may come in useful, and the velcro strip can be used to put an identifier (name tape with blood type). Once again, I've only used this in the field on training exercises, and I hope to update this review when I come back from deployment. So far, no regrets, especially for the price. Day one of being on the ground, the shoulder strap's stitching came completely unraveled. At the time, I had a uniform and a pair of boots in the bag. Nothing else. I had to make due by knotting the strap so I could use the backpack. It's sad that my knot was actually stronger than the factory stitching for a bag that's supposed to be used in the field carrying MUCH HEAVIER items than a uniform and a pair of boots. I emailed SOC customer service a month ago and have yet to receive anything back from them in response...not even an automated email saying they've received my inquiry and will get back to me. Shoddy product and sub-par customer service. They should be ashamed of themselves for putting this crap into the hands of troops deploying. This review is from: Captain America Girl Bag I purchased this to go with my son's Captain America Halloween costume. He is 3 1/2 and I know that he will not want to carry a large plastic shield around with him all night. I thought this would be a good alternative (so it looks like he has a shield, but acts as a candy bag). It is not very large, so wewill be dumping it frequently into a larger bag that Mom and Dad will carry. As far as quality goes, I would not purchase this for a girl to use as a purse because the shiny red scratches off very easily. I think it will look roughed up very quickly.
