The chaos of the moment, and the small selection in our rural area, is evident in the choice: it was the one somewhat masculine bag for a price he liked, and it's big.I wound up using it for 4 weeks because I didn't have a chance to organize another system for myself, other than "throw it all in a big huge bag." Yes, IT ALL does fit: diapers (and we do cloth), extra outfits, the Moby Wrap, some blankets, little doodads in the outside pockets and the inside clear plastic pouch, two quart size water bottles, and my laptop. But "it all fits" was good enough just until I could get out to a city with shopping choices and get my own bag. My complaints: -- The interior is huge and has no pockets to subdivide the space. -- The changing pad is so small and flimsy I found it useless. -- The exterior pockets are so big it's impossible... While it's entirely too large for everyday usage, it's PERFECT for when the military moves us. We were looking for something large enough to fit things for both kids (outfits, bottles, sippy cups, blankets, diapers, pull-ups, etc.) for a 2-4 day trip and this does the job perfectly!While I don't mind having to dig for items in the main opening itself, I'm sure the lack of interior organization would bother other people. I can fit a LOT in the bag (as seen in uploaded pictures) and I never have to worry about over-packing because it can hold whatever I need it to. The exterior zipper pockets are wide enough for disposable diapers but also for prefolds if you're cloth diapering. There's also a small pocket on the front of each zipper pocket where I can stick keys or a spare bib when we take it out of the car. The pockets on the sides of the bags are basic but are large enough to hold a bottle (standard or one of the big ones) as well as some toys or a rolled... I loved the bag itself. It fit all of my files and my 17" laptop as well as size 3 diapers, two outfits for my two girls, their snacks, a blanket and wipes....at the least. What I didn't appreciate was the metal rods that is by the zippers broke through the canvas and was sticking out where they very easily could have cut someone. I think that if the makers had rounded the rods, they wouldn't have been sharp enough to break through. |
